The start of a new chapter
Malala Yousafzai, Nobel Peace Prize winner, fought for the right of education for every girl, as a young girl herself, and was consequently shot by the Taliban says, “Education is the power terrorists fear most.”
This among many other social cultural and economic challenges facing girls in many parts of the world including Kenya. Recognising this, Resilient Woman launched an education sponsorship program in 2016 with our first participant Grace Sindoiya. Equiping children with basic digital skills
Technology is a crucial aspect of our lives in this modern era that cannot be ignored. Consequently, one of our goals as Resilient Woman Africa is to equip children with basic digital skills that will not only expose them to technological advancements but also enhance their creativity. One of the digital programs that we intend to implement is coding. We intend to partner with other organizations to ensure that children learn basic coding and computer skills since it is a component that is in line with the government’s goals of introduction of computer classes to all children in the country… Read more

The advent of Corona Virus has affected many aspects of our lives and the world including Resilient Woman’s Programs.We could not hold our regular meetings with mentors and mentees, to support women going back to their communities from prison.As a result of a 9-months school closure, a COVID 19 containment measure, there was a growing number of school girls falling pregnant over this period of time across the country….
